I was born in Flushing, New York and lived in Port Washington until I was nine, when we relocated to Florida. After about 18 months in Tampa, my family settled in Largo, in Pinellas county.
I attended Seminole High School, and then moved to Atlanta to attend Georgia Tech and study physics. As a 5-year co-op student, I worked full time every other quarter to gain experience and pay for school. During my time as an intern, I worked on many projects, including DISAMS (Digitally Integrated Surface to Air Missile Simulation).
Upon receiving my B.S. in Physics, I joined the Peace Corps and was assigned to the Central African region. After 12 weeks of French language and teacher training, I began teaching physical science to middle school Gabonese students at the Lycée d’État de Tchibanga, in Southern Gabon.

In 2005, we felt the pull of home and sunshine, and relocated to Sarasota. I taught math and physics in the International Baccalaureate program at Riverview for three years, then got transfered to Pine View. I retired from Pine View in 2023.
Since 2015, I've been an AP Physics exam grader. This experience has given me valuable insights into the exam and its requirements.
In 2020, during the Covid lockdown, I was hired by the College Board to teach online. Every evening, Monday through Friday, I conducted live AP Physics C Electricity and Magnetism lessons on YouTube, along with my teaching partner from Dallas.
I was subsequently contracted by the College Board to create and record online lessons for their AP Classroom platform, specifically for AP Physics C Electricity and Magnetism. The lessons I recorded are still being utilized today.
I'm excited about focusing my attention towards helping my students reach their maximum potential.
